Leaving the iconic Sigiriya rock fortress behind, my Sri Lankan journey led me to the enchanting town of Ella, nestled amidst the undulating hills of the island’s picturesque hill country. But before diving into the charms of Ella itself, I set my sights on a unique experience – witnessing the sunrise at the famous Ella railway bridge.

Rising before dawn, I made my way to the bridge, the cool morning air adding a sense of anticipation to the experience. As the first golden rays of the sun peeked over the horizon, I watched in awe as they illuminated the winding tracks and the lush, rolling hills that surrounded me. The sheer beauty of the scene was amplified by the tranquility of the early hour, with only the occasional rumble of a passing train to break the serenity.
