Catching a Star Ferry in Hong Kong

The Star Ferry terminal is located on Kowloon directly opposite the Hong Kong Island cityscape.  I was looking to take some images of the view of Hong Kong across the water when this small ferry came along and about 20 people loaded onto it.  It just bobbed around in the water for the next 5 minutes, giving me the opportunity to take some pictures.  The fery staff kindly turned off their strong docking lights and seemed very amused by my setup with my tripod on the steps.

This is currently my favourite image from my Hong Kong trip and it also represents one of a few recent night time images which depart from my usual composition and into a series where there is a clear foreground adding a different dimension to the view.  Check out my image called Looking Blue in Kular Lumpur! for another night time image with transport in the foreground!!
