Oh gosh – where to start with my trip to Japan last week. I guess this was one of the first images I process to show one of my friends how you can deal with colour temperature and white balance when taking night shots. This one was taken without a tripod by resting the camera on a tarpulin and using the camera self timer. I’ve also processed it on the slightly blue to purple side, which I quite enjoy the look of. At some point I’ll post one of the shots from Yoyogi with a neutral feel. Hamani is the celebration of the Cherry Blossom being out in full bloom. Japan is amass with Cherry Blosson throughout April and the variety and differences in species is huge. The people also like to celebrate by having parties, picnics and socialising under the cherry trees…. and that’s what we were doing!
So this is my first image from Japan, there will be many to follow and I’m going to be posting nighttime images, people images and general views from Japan. It’s an amazing place – lots of culture and lots of interesting people.
Stay tuned for more 🙂
