Looking at the detail of the houses in and around the Xing Ping area can be really interesting. Here I really like the brick pattern and the design of the window. Simple and effective.

I went to the area in April and loved it too. The lattice work is particularly appealing. My favourite houses were painted aqua; did you see them?
