This is kind of where my Retro Camera Project started to form itself. Having come back home to Devon for a week during my summer holiday, I went on a trip to Teignmouth with my Mum. I hadn’t been into the Teignmouth Pier for many years and the whole area around the seafront looked so much in the past. That’s when I wondered what the pictures I were taking would look like if I used a polaroid effect camera or something similar.
As it was I had just downloaded the Retro Camera app for my HTC phone and it came with a polaroid camera as well as a few others. So this is the picture of my Mum outside the Teignmouth Pier in Devon. The next set of images show different parts of the pier and Teignmouth.

Experimenting with different types of camera on the Retro App. This one in the end has turned out to be my favourite, but it was fun to experiment with some of the others. I’m sure in time I’ll be bored and use something else! This is Teignmouth Pier, Devon, UK :: July 2011

Teignmouth Pier hasn’t changed a bit since the 1980s or even before that (that I don’t know!).
So let’s go retro in the pier…

This has to be the coolest old style pinball machine. There is only the start pull stick and that’s it. When the ball hits anything on it’s way down, the traffic lights change from red to amber to green and back. If it ends on green then you win a tube of sweets!

It’s just amazing that these classic machines are still in play at the Pier in Teignmouth.

This is a cool machine – just get ready to hit the button… HEADS OR TAILS!

The Teign Estuary.

Sheldon Beach and British tourist enjoying the sunny weather. In the distance is Ness Cove (I think!).

A boat on Shaldon beach and I’m loving the red sand.

For me, some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK can be seen on the coastlines of Devon.
