The Lomography Shop I :: Shanghai

The next three images are all taken in the Lomography Shop reading room in Shanghai.
This is a neat place. The ground floor is dedicated to selling all the different types of plastic styled film cameras (lomos, Holga and all the accessories), whilst on the other floors there are galleries, a reading room with old 1980’s style television sets and when I was there last they were setting up a small cafe. The concept seems very much a mix between a serious Lomo/Holga plastic film camera shop and an art gallery.

The reading room is decked out with bucket seats, old television sets, an old Apple Mac and the walls and surfaces are covered with saturated kitchy looking photographs. Like I said, it’s a neat place!

  1. hi Martin,

I accidentally found your beautiful website by Googling “Lomography Shanghai”. Love all your photographs, they’re amazing! I’m not sure had we met before while your visit to the store. Anyway, thanks for dropping by the Lomography Gallery Store Shanghai. And I love all the shots you made in my hometown, Malaysia. It made me thought of Malaysia a lot. Feel free to drop by the Lomography Store again during 8-29 August 2009, we are having an Exhibition & Event called Diana World Tour. See you there!

    Cheers,
    jeep
