This starts my first trip to India, having arrived two days ago!

Delhi :: Birla Mandir Hindu Temple
The photoshop job is not quite done – see if you can spot half a lamp post!! ?

Seen outside my hotel in Delhi a couple of days ago.

Masala Tea: The first time I approve of black tea!
Indian Masala tea is made by boiling milk with crushed ginger and sweetening it with sugar before then adding some black tea. It’s then strained and served. Very good!

Let your senses revel in the Delhi spice market!
Would you like extra spicy???

Delhi :: Veda Lounge and Bar
Located in the Connaught Circus area of town.
It was recommended in the Lonely Planet guide to India and whilst the interior was interesting (and very red!), the menu looked pretty normal. Drinks were pretty good though ?

Seen at the spice market area in the old quarter of Delhi

Very reasonable prices they are too.

More selling of indian foods at the spice market in old Delhi.

The fabric man

So many areas of Delhi have street markets and they seem to be 24 hour.

Naan bread, sir?

Masala tea is fabulous. Made properly it is a combination of milk, freshly pressed ginger, sugar and black tea. It taste nothing like the type of watery milky tea we get in the UK (thankfully!), and it’s just a wonderful experience to watch them make this tea and then drink it.

Seen near the main mosque in the old quarter of Delhi – these two motorbikes constrast each other quite well.
This image has some extra processing than usual, I’ve added some film grain and used ‘dust and scratches’ from photoshop, seems to have worked quite well.

Need a taxi in Delhi? Here’s your man…

You want a belt?
DVD, Bag, Belt, Massage… what you want?
In China a sure fire way to stop hawkers from hassling you is to raise your camera (no not your fist!), and they soon get shy. However, in Delhi… nope, they just keep asking… apologies for the slightly blurry image – but actually I think it’s quite cool!

My friend Liz surfing the net in a tatty old chair in India. I think she blends in quite well with the green (not the tatty!!) ?
