This is “World Famous Tongli” water village near Suzhou in China. I say “World Famous” as I’ve never heard of Tongli and I suspect many others haven’t either. However, it’s advertised constantly on the Eastern China Airlines in-flight television and when I visited Tongli I found out that it is actually a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site, so in fact it really is World Famous!

It’s about 20-30 minutes from Suzhou, so only really about 1 – 2 hours from Shanghai. Tongli is definitely worth a visit and I’ve more images from Tongli over the next few days…
